Gorilla vs. Goose
In a quiet zoo enclosure, a large silverback gorilla lounged under the shade of a tree, peacefully munching on fruit. His calm afternoon, however, was suddenly interrupted by an unexpected visitor—a bold goose that had wandered in from the nearby pond. Unlike most animals that kept a respectful distance from the gorilla, the goose marched in confidently, flapping its wings and honking loudly as if declaring ownership of the space.
The gorilla at first ignored the noisy intruder, but the goose’s persistence grew. It strutted closer, pecking at the gorilla’s food and spreading its wings in a dramatic display of defiance. Annoyed, the gorilla rose to his full height, towering over the bird. With a few powerful chest beats, he attempted to intimidate the smaller creature. Yet, instead of retreating, the goose hissed and flapped wildly, showing no fear at all.
What followed was a comical standoff—strength against stubbornness. The gorilla swiped the ground, scattering leaves, while the goose lunged forward, pecking at his massive hands. Amused more than angry, the gorilla finally decided it wasn’t worth the trouble. With a grunt, he retreated to another corner, leaving the goose to strut proudly over the abandoned fruit.
Though the gorilla had the power to win easily, that day the goose’s fearless spirit proved enough to claim victory.
