Brave Buffalo Saves Baby Elephant
In the golden light of dawn, a herd of elephants was making its way toward a watering hole in the African savanna. Among them trotted a tiny baby elephant, still learning how to use its trunk. Suddenly, danger appeared from the tall grass — a pride of hungry lions, eyes locked on the calf. The herd trumpeted in alarm, but in the chaos, the baby slipped into the mud and got stuck, unable to move.
The lions saw their chance and began to close in. The mother elephant tried to return, but the slippery ground made it impossible. Just when it seemed hopeless, a massive African buffalo charged from the distance. With a loud bellow, it stormed between the lions and the helpless calf.
The lions snarled and circled, but the buffalo lowered its horns and stood firm, refusing to back away. It kicked up dust, swinging its head in warning until the predators finally retreated into the grass. The brave buffalo then nudged the mud, loosening it enough for the baby elephant to pull free.
Moments later, the mother elephant returned, wrapping her trunk around her baby in relief. The buffalo gave one last snort and walked away — a silent hero of the savanna.
