Audience Plays Funny with Gorilla

Audience Plays Funny with Gorilla

At the city zoo, laughter echoed around the gorilla enclosure as a playful crowd gathered near the glass. Inside, a young gorilla named Tambo sat curiously watching the people. His big brown eyes followed every move the audience made. When a man waved his hat, Tambo tilted his head and clapped his hands, surprising everyone. The children squealed with delight.

Encouraged by the reaction, a woman began mimicking Tambo’s chest-beating. The clever gorilla responded by pounding his own chest even harder, puffing up proudly as if to say, “I can do it better!” Soon, the whole group joined in, making silly faces and gestures, turning the quiet zoo corner into a joyful comedy show.

But Tambo wasn’t done. He suddenly grabbed a bunch of hay, threw it in the air, and somersaulted across the enclosure. The audience roared with laughter. One child even tried to copy the roll on the ground outside the fence. The zookeepers watched with smiles, amused by both the gorilla and the crowd’s energy.

When the show ended, Tambo sat by the glass, tapping gently as if saying goodbye. The visitors waved back, leaving with happy hearts. For that afternoon, humans and gorilla shared pure fun—proof that laughter truly connects every species.
