Baby Elephant Saves
In the golden light of dawn, a small herd of elephants wandered near a watering hole. Among them was a curious baby elephant, barely two years old, who loved to play in the shallow water. Suddenly, a loud cry echoed from the bushes nearby. The herd froze, ears flapping and trunks raised in alarm. A young gazelle had slipped into a muddy ditch, trapped and struggling desperately.
The adults hesitated, cautious of danger, but the baby elephant stepped forward with surprising bravery. With wide, determined eyes, it shuffled to the edge of the ditch. Stretching out its small but strong trunk, the little elephant reached for the trembling gazelle. The young animal bleated softly, sensing help.
Though clumsy at first, the baby elephant refused to give up. With gentle persistence, it hooked its trunk around the gazelle’s body and tugged carefully. Inch by inch, the gazelle scrambled upward, finally landing safely on solid ground. The baby elephant trumpeted loudly, as if celebrating the rescue.
The herd gathered around, brushing the brave youngster with their trunks in approval. The gazelle bounded away, free once more. That day, the tiny elephant proved that even the smallest heart can show the greatest courage.
